Italian
The GW Romance, German and Slavic Studies Department offers a minor in Italian, and courses are open to students from across the university. Coursework explores contemporary Italian culture and society as well as historical cultural touch points from the Middle Ages through the 21st century, including Dante, Machiavelli, Galileo and Calvino.
Alumni of the Italian program have applied their skills to successful careers in international relations and diplomacy, domestic and international law, international business, politics, academics and medicine.
