Minor in Italian Language & Literature and Culture
The Italian minor exposes students to Italian culture through study of language, literature and film traditions while developing students’ critical thinking, writing skills and awareness of intercultural exchange. The highly flexible curriculum requires two core classes and four electives chosen from options including The Italian American Experience, Contemporary Italian Cinema, Il Decamerone di Boccaccio and more.
Italian study complements a number of academic and professional pursuits, from history, art history and English to political science, international relations and business.
Course Requirements
The following requirements must be fulfilled: 18 credits, including 6 credits in required courses and 12 credits in elective courses. A total of at least 15 credits must be taken in coursework conducted in Italian.
