Professor Víctor Valdivia received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of New Mexico in 2016. His research focuses on the interplay between language use and grammar, particularly in contexts of language and dialect contact. Before coming to GWU, he taught Spanish and Hispanic Linguistics at the University of New Mexico, and at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico.
